Easter is one of my favorite times of the year. It's when things are in bloom, the colors come out here in Arizona, and things are just starting to warm up for the summer!
So to celebrate Easter this year, here are a few things we got to do...
The Easter Pageant - now that most of my kids can handle later nights, this is a fun thing to do, which my kids thoroughly enjoyed with their cousins, the Grays!
Cole really liked the soldiers and their cool swords.
The girls loved this children that carried around the live animals before the performance and they were so kind as to even let us pet them. It totally reminded us of the Palmyra Pageant! Loved it!
And there was egg dying - you can see Jared wants to do it methodically, and Kate just likes the creative part of it. I love how they look like they are fighting it out.
And then there is the Easter morning basket hunt....
Cole is so good to help his little brother find his first.
While the girls teamed up to search for theirs.
And then it was chocolate for breakfast! Every kid's dream!
This year I attempted to take some Easter pictures of the kids at Discovery Park, across the street from the Gilbert Temple. But unfortunately, it was still a little sunny for their little eyes to open completely. But they were good as to indulge me!
My beautiful Kate. She is just stinking adorable!
My little Lizzie-Lou
Max - so kissable!
My Cole boy - growing up way too fast!
I love this one of the boys. There's just something about having a brother.
My four little monkeys, who I am grateful for everyday, through the thick and the thin, I wouldn't have it any other way, and so grateful for the sacrifice the Savior made so that we could be a family for eternity!
Then it was off to church to remember the events surrounding Easter and the importance of this holiday. Every year I learn just a little more and grateful for the things my parents have taught me.
And what would be a holiday without a little sisterly love?
This lady I am truly grateful for all that she is and all that she does for me. She makes every holiday fun for everyone, puts the finishing touches that complete the day, and I love her for including me and my family in her celebrations.
Not only does she cook a 5 star restaurant meal, throw a killer egg hunt, but the dessert and presentation are just perfect! I couldn't have asked for a better way to end a week of celebrating the life of our Savior.
