It's the most wonderful time of the year! Every year, the kiddos look forward to our Christmas Countdown where every day they open a bag and there is something "Christmassy" to do for that day. Things range from listening to Christmas music, reading a new Christmas story, to driving to see lights, Christmas concerts or seeing the Nutcracker. And on the first day of our Christmas Countdown, we headed to Mesa to see the Christmas light display with Dave & crew and Kim & crew. Lucky for us, the night wasn't too cold yet and the lights weren't too crowded.
Jared had to leave to go to Germany that week and wasn't able to join us this year
but that didn't stop us from enjoying the night with family.

And I am grateful for the Birth of our Savior, the sacrifices he made for me, and the opportunity I have to be forgive and be able to live with my family eternally.
There was no better way to start the Christmas season than to by remembering the Reason for the Season.
