Every year I attempt to do a green meal to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but this year, thanks to my ingenious sister who loves to plan and celebrate the holidays in style, she found that every year in Fountain Hills, AZ they turn their fountain green, usually have some kind of parade and outdoor market you can shop. So we headed out for a picnic and park day in Fountain Hills to see the green fountain!
Due to construction and getting a little lost on our way in, we almost missed the beginning of the fountain. We parked illegally - talents I learned from my mom - made all the kids jump out and run over to see the fountain as I stayed parked in the car. Thankfully Paige was there to be our eyes so that no one fell in the water!
I handed my phone to Cole, who did a great job of picturing the fountain, and then somehow, Kate and Megan got a hold of it and these are two of the fun pictures I got.....
And despite Paige's fear of cameras....we still technically got one of her. Just to prove she was there that day. Love you Paige!
Then after the fountain went off, we settled in to eat our lunch, feed the ducks, and play at the park.
We love having our cousins here!
Then on our way home, it was a stop at McDonald's for an ice cream after our warm day in the park.
