Shooting for the Arrow

After three years in Cub Scouts, this boy is ready to move on!  I was so proud of Cole!  Within months of moving on to the next Den, he would quickly earn his badge for that year and then try and accomplish all that he could within that year.  After earning all the awards he could, he went for the gold and earned his Arrow of Light award.  The requirements are such that they help him develop good, leadership like characteristics that will help him in the Scouting program.
So at this year's Blue and Gold Banquet, he was awarded the Arrow of Light.  He received a cool arrow to hang in his room, got his face painted through a special ceremony and crossed over to the 11 year old Scouts.  I couldn't be prouder!

Cole and our Cubmaster, Bro. Parry
Getting his face painted....Cole requested Jared do it.  Not sure if he things Jared would do a better job or if he was nervous I would make a mess of his face.

 The final Paint Job
And now he's an official 11 year old Scout!
I love this little boy of mine!
