Don't worry, we don't sit still for very long. Holidays or not, we make every day a holiday!
We spent New Year's at Aaron and Brooke's playing games, eating yummy food (fondue for Aaron's birthday), raspberry dessert, and lighting off paper lanterns into the sky.
The wind picked up and would carry them off but it was fun to watch them float off into the sky. We even got different shaped ones so the kids could follow which one was theirs. Brooke and I got a little nervous when one lit on fire and started to come down...in someone else's yard! Crazy! No fire department was called though, phew! The kids made it to 10:30 where we called it good, and had our toast to welcome in the new year!

Then the next morning we woke up and headed to Las Vegas to celebrate this little boy turning 8! Yep, baptized the day after New Year's Day and what a great way to start off a year!
Because of the holidays most of us made it down there. We piled all into Jenny and Jill's houses and Kim brought her motorhome, and even though it was a quick 24 hours in Vegas, it was sure worth it. We wouldn't have missed celebrating this guy!

I even got to put some of photography skills to use and took a picture of Jenny's cute family.
I'm not a professional, but I tried my best. One day I'll get some time to doing photography.
Until then, I'll just keep playing around.
I love Devan and the fact that he lets me take pictures with him! He rocks.
And despite our short trip, we always find some time to play...
Thanks Scott for sharing all your cool Christmas toys, and
thanks to Jill and Matt for having us come celebrate your little boy with you!
