Ice Skating fun

So ever since we left NY, 2.5 years ago, the kids have been BEGGING to go ice skating again.  They didn't realize that we could go right here in Arizona.  So it was only fitting that over winter break we went ice skating!  We grabbed a couple of friends and headed to the rink.

I must say, this trip round was much easier since they have all been practicing on their roller blades for the past year.  It took them a couple of times around the rink holding on to the side or my hand before they were ready to venture out on their own.
Max was such a good sport and tried to go around on holding on to my legs or my hands, but after a few times falling, he decided that he liked his tennis shoes better and liked watching from the side lines instead.
Despite the look on Cole's face in this picture, he truly enjoyed it.  Especially when I would race the rink with him or he would pretend that he was playing hockey and shoot for the a goal.
Lizzie had the time of her life and loved every minute of it.  She was so good to her little friend, Jenna, and helped her around the rink.  Jenna wasn't as fast as Lizzie, but that didn't stop Lizzie from slowing down and helping her.
Kate and her friend, Ryann, tried to stay together but had a blast going around so many times, eating snacks, and laughing the afternoon away.  Kate was very graceful skating along and looked like she could just glide along with no problems.
I loved being able to spend the day skating alongside these little cuties and seeing how far they have come in the past year and excited to see what 2016 holds for us!
