A Fabulous Fall

Fall time this year was filled with events galore!  Our days and nights were filled with practices for football and soccer, school fall carnival, visits from Grandma and Grandpa, Sarah and Austin, a Stake Daddy-Daughter Date, and a school flag retirement.  All within about 2 weeks!  Hard to believe that we packed that all in around the normal routine of school, church callings, and playing with friends.
But all in all, I wouldn't have it any other way!  I love watching these monkeys grow!

This fall, Cole played on the Coyotes Football Team for San Tan Youth Football league.  Although he only knew a few players on the team, by the end of the season he knew all of them.  After getting his cast off, he hit the ground running and his coach was glad to have him back on the line as guard.  He does a great job in protecting the quarterback by giving him a pocket to work in!  So proud of my boy!

Lizzie played another season of soccer and REALLY got into it.  Her coach, Coach Andrew, was fun to play for and did a great job in teaching the girls how to try and move the ball up the field.  Lizzie wished they won more games, but I truly think she's getting the hang of soccer!

One night, Kate was spoiled by her daddy and attended the Stake Daddy-Daughter Dance.  They both got dressed up and headed to the Stake center to enjoy a few hours of refreshments and learning how to line dance and some spins and twirls. Kate loved every minute of her special time with her daddy!
Then finally, at school, the flag that had flown for so many years, needed to be retired.  They asked for volunteers to help do the retirement ceremony and Cole was one of them that got to say a part in the ceremony and help carry the flag to the fire. Some of the boys from orchestra played Taps, we cut the flag into strips and let it burn.  So proud of my scout and the way he performs his duties.

With all the fun that was happening in our lives this fall it was hard to believe what the holidays would be like!
