It comes and goes so quick every year! Spring Break is one of my favorite times of the year. To be outside, playing in the street, riding bikes, playing at the parks, and enjoying the blooms of spring. I LOVE IT! This year, we didn't go anywhere exciting, no big vacation, but what we did do, were all those things we never have time to do and would like to. One thing the kids were begging for was a campout with a fire and roasting marshmallows. Most nights it doesn't happen, but this week it did!
Jared was so sweet and bought us a little fire pit, used wood from our cut down sisso tree, and a little lighter fluid and we were set.
The kids loved roasting the marshmallows over, and over, and over again! So many, just not enough of us to eat them!
It was amazing to see each one of our children take the time to try and get the perfect, golden brown marshmallow to go between their chocolate chip cookie. Yes, we didn't do the traditional graham cracker and chocolate, we tried something new! And boy was it delicious!
Even little Max loved them!
And there's just something about being outside with their daddy doing a little campfire talk.
The other days were filled with playing with friends that we seldom get to see and going for bike rides and parks. But on Friday, Jared took off work early and away we went to Saguaro Lake for the day. There never seems to be enough time to do everything you want to do at the Lake but we squeezed in as much time there as we could!
The air temperature was perfect, the lake water a little cool for my liking, but the kids didn't seem to mind in the least!
Boating has always been a love of mine, there is nothing like being on a lake and enjoying the time there with the ones you love.
We were lucky enough this year to purchase a boat with Ryan and Heather and are loving every minute of being a boat owner. The kids absolutely love it!
I have a feeling that there will be many lake days this summer!
