Happy 2nd birthday, Max!

Yes, I know.  It's been almost a year since I have blogged and in these next few weeks, I am hopefully going to get several pictures and journaling done to get back on track!

I can't believe my baby turned 2!  It's always amazing to me how fast they grow and how much they learn in just one year.  They go from a sweet little baby with cooing noises and sweet baby smells to little boys who have opinions and grunt when they want something but don't know how to ask for it.
And Max is one who definitely has an opinion and is going to be the life of our party!

Recently he has developed his love for trains.  Any time he can play trains on the train table, he is there.  So for his first birthday, we went into sugar overload and built a train for this cute little boy!

We made Candy Trains from Rolos, Hershey kisses and Life savers - the photographer forgot to document that, but those were a hit and most of Max's train was eaten before dinner.
One of his favorite things to say, now that he says only a handful of words is, "I don't know."  Sometimes the kids ask him questions just so that he'll do this expression....and say "I don't know.'  It's so adorable!
And of course, he is in love with his sippy cups, and sometimes is lucky enough to carry two around with him.  The funny part is that he doesn't drink from them like a normal child, he drinks from them with the side of his mouth so he can still see what's going on in front of him.  Funny kid!
His newest trick is that he makes this face when we ask him if something is cold.  He scrunches up his face and hands and says, "cold."  I could just eat him up!

And of course, after dinner and cake eating, there's always a party with presents!  Grandma and Grandpa Dunyon sent a new vacuum, as his new passion is to help me clean and fights me for mine every time I pull it out.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!
And of course, new bubbles and bubble maker....always a favorite!
And the biggest surprise....
a cute wooden train to drag all over the house after loading the trailer.  Perfect fit for his cars!

I am so lucky he came to our family, he is just what I need on a sad day to cheer me up and warm my heart.  There is just something about little boys.....I love being able to spend time with this little boy! I love watching him grow and learn everyday, and so lucky that I get to be his mommy!
Happy Birthday, my sweet Max!
