Easter Treats

Happy Easter
The Ultimate Egg - Carrot Cake, yum!

I am sure by now Easter is becoming a fast memory and things for the end of the school year are just around the corner.  But Easter was put out a little late this year so we are enjoying it all month long.  This year we did Easter dinner and festivities at Kim's house.  The kids were supposed to do a neighborhood easter egg hunt but because it only rains once every quarter here, I guess it was that time and the rains came on Saturday and stayed the day.  But I'll tell you the celebration at Kim's made up for the rain!  She made an amazing dinner - just look at the dessert.  We had a fun Easter egg hunt - where Kim had the smart idea to put names on all the eggs for the kids so they knew which ones were theirs and there was no egg snatching...Jared.  Then we dined at a beautifully set table set for Kings and Queens and feasted and enjoyed the company of the Grays and the Dunyons!  Then after we digested our food we were in for a treat and had Tate and Kevin do our Easter lesson.  All the kids listened way better to them than they do to Kim or I.  Maybe I should employ their services every Sunday?  Then as the sun set our children were sad to see the day go but during prayers that night, Cole was sure to include how grateful he is for family and for the sacrifice of Jesus, and that he didn't have to have nails put in his hands like Jesus did in His.  The truth is always simple and sweet...from the mouth of babes!
