Happy Halloween, 2014!

I truly think that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year.  Not only do you get to dream of what to be for the day, there's candy!  How can you go wrong!  I love the Halloween decorations, the parties, and of course, cooler weather!  It has been a change from the past two years, when we had to base what our costumes were according to the weather, whereas, here in Arizona, you really can be anything you want to be!  Love the Arizona weather!
So, here's how our Halloween went this year....
There was a party at preschool with our favorite Preschool teacher, Ms. Nikki, and one of our favorite friends, Edyn!
Lizzie, Ms. Nikki, and Edyn
There were the class parties at school for Cole and Kate.  No costume parade like in NY, but they were happy to wear their Halloween shirts and eat pumpkin faced waffles for the morning!
And of course, the ward Trunk-or-Treat!  Kate had her heart set on being a cheerleader this year and fit the part quite well!  She loved to do her cheers and kick her legs up as high as they would go.  I think we may have a career for this girl!
Lizzie, couldn't decide quite what she wanted to be.  So many choices, why chose one?!  So for preschool, it was a dancer, the ward party, a ballerina, and for Halloween night, a cowgirl with her horse.  She's such a funny girl, she just loved dressing up and each day is a new adventure with her!
Cole decided he wanted to be Ironman.  I don't think he has even seen the movie, but he has seen the cartoon and thinks Ironman is pretty cool!  This kid cracks me up how much he always wants to be the SuperHero of the family!  Love this kid!

 Cole as our Ironman
 Lizzie, our cowgirl
 Kate the Cheerleader
 Love these three little monkeys
And this year, because there wasn't any snow on the ground, we were lucky enough to have our daddy home for the weekend and ate our "Blood and Bones" (spaghetti sauce and breadsticks) for dinner in our driveway waiting for the trick-or-treaters to come.
Then, as night fell, they were off with the neighborhood kids to be kids - running around the neighborhood, seeing our neighbors, collecting goodies and visiting the haunted house!  They even made me go in it this year.  Kate was not scared even in the least bit, but Cole, his hands were a little sweaty as we entered in and his muscles pretty tight as we explored the house.  It seems like the roles should be reversed, but I guess that explains a lot about them both!
Avery and Kate
 Lizzie and Anna
And they were off for a night of candy collecting and fun!
And where was Max this whole time?  Sleeping!  He was supposed to be our cute little cowboy and the whole week he wasn't feeling well, running fevers and runny nose, he missed the ward party and Halloween night.  He went down for a late nap and ended up sleeping through the night.
He is one funny kid and we sure missed him this year, but I am sure he won't sleep through another!

Isn't it a little early for Halloween? Love re-living the memories. So glad you're here and not freezing! Cute kiddos as always!
