A Short 5 years later....

It's hard to believe that our sweet Lizzie is already 5 years old!  I remember the day we had her and all the years inbetween then and now.  I love being the mommy of this sweet, funny little girl who knows how to calm her mom's nerves and make her smile.  Love you Lizzie-Lou!
On her birthday morning, we left her few presents to open and then made her wait to open the rest for her Sunday birthday party with family.  She was more than happy to open her long awaited razor!
For her birthday party this year, she asked for a Hotel Transylvania Party.  She is WAY into that movie right now and it seemed fitting since Halloween was only a month away!  So Kate worked hard on the banner, Paige helped cut and hang bats on the wall, spider webs and spiders adorned our dining room, and of course, we couldn't forget the food....mummy pizzas and pizzans, bloody fingers (cheese sticks and marinara sauce), carrots and salad, and a spider web oreo cheesecake.  This one was happy girl to have her cousins come and celebrate her special day with her.

 The girl table
 The boy table
The adult table....we had no where else to put Jeff and Dave so they had to sit with Kim and I.  We missed Joy that night but were sure to send home some food and goodies for her!
 The food - yum!
And of course, there were games....toss the bean bags into the buckets to see how many candies you could get.  I think Kevin was the winner!  And there was pop the Dracula (hanging on the window in the back), and a candy bar matching game where families had to work together to match the clue with the candy bar.  It was a candy holiday!  The kids were in heaven!
And of course, there was candle blowing.  Much to my disappointment, everyone didn't get a turn this year....the good thing was, we had a spit free Oreo Cheesecake!

And then came the gifts.  She was showered with so much love!

It was a weekend of celebrating our sweet little Lizzie and we loved every minute of it!  Happy birthday, girl!  To the one who makes us laugh, who loves to snuggle, and is our peacemaker of the family.  We love you Lizzie!

We sure do miss Lizzie and are so sad to have missed her party. You did a great job on it and I bet it was so much fun. With you in charge I have no doubt it was fabulous. Happy birthday to sweet Lizzie!
