Sweeties.....

Valentine's Day only comes once a year and there are so many ways to celebrate and yet, my sweeties ask for the same thing almost every year.  We started the week with a FHE lesson about love at home and showing kindness to each other where they earned hearts on their houses to fill their house with love.  The kids did great and I was amazed at how well it worked seeing how I feel like I am the queen of charts of late.
Then it was decorating Valentine boxes for school and making our valentine's for their classmates, bus drivers, and teachers.  Unfortunately, the photographer did not capture these treats, she must have been on her lunch break.
But then the day came, the kids woke up to Valentine baskets for breakfast, filled with new books and a new Webkinz (which they all have been dying for!) We got the kids off to school and then Max and Lizzie rested up at first before we started our day...dolls and all. Lizzie made sure that Max had his too!

When the kids got home from school, Kate wanted dipped strawberries for dessert and so the girls went to work doing their best!
The final product....I would have to say they do pretty good work!

Max, just being over a year and learning how to walk now has discovered that he can now get into cupboards, and into trouble!  He has decided that he loves my corner cupboard of pots and pans and the pitchers and salad spinner the best.  Not a day goes by without something out of there.  Jared wanted to know if I wanted to child proof the doors, but why??? I love it and I love that he is so happy and content playing with my dishes.
 Sweet boy
And then of course, there's the food....the best part of the day.  We even tried a new recipe for the drink, some kind of mousse, it was supposed to be raspberry but Kate chose the lime flavor instead.  The kids loved it and almost preferred it over the pizza!
They loved decorating their own heart shaped pizzas and telling us all about their Valentine parties in school.  Jared's mom always wrote their children love poems to them on Valentine's day, some of which I still have, and I thought I would continue the tradition this year.  It helped me to reflect why I love each one and the great things about each child.  I love this holiday and dedicating it to the ones I love!  Here's to my sweeties!

Here are to the loves of my life!  My life is so full with them!
