And the celebration continues...

The day after Lizzie's birthday, we decided it was time for a Disneyland and California fix - for both the kids and the mom - and headed for Grandma's! We thought we were headed for cooler weather but phew, were we ever wrong! It was pretty warm that day but regardless, another beautiful day at Disneyland. We were so grateful that our Grandma came with us and we love to be able to spend time with her. Of course, the kids fought over who she would ride with, and then later, when Sarah, Austin, Luke and Grandpa came, it was a fight over them. We love it when we are surrounded by so many to fight over! Our first ride of the day was the carousel, Lizzie's choice, as Grandma waited in ride for Peter Pan. I have never seen Fantasyland so bare, we were able to hit 5-6 rides within an hour with very little lines. It was amazing!
Of course, we had to get a picture in Toad's car. Lizzie is not a fan of this ride, but it is one of Cole's favorites - could it be the driving? Watch out world!
Dumbo had a 10 minute wait and it was a hit with everyone this time. Cole can't wait to turn 7 and be able to ride in his own car! He kept telling everyone that he's 6 and a half.
We love our Grandma!
Grandma was so gracious to stay off the ride and let me go with the two monkeys on the teacups. I am just glad that it was first thing in the morning and get it over with. But don't worry, they hit me on the way out choosing the ladybug ride twice in California Adventure as Grandma & Grandpa were nearby watching and smiling away....
The Tiki Room was another favorite this trip as Lizzie danced and clapped to the singing birds. Now she does it whenever she hears the song on the CD.

It wouldn't be the same without our Baby Luke! Cute boy! We hope his cute face wins the Gerber Baby contest!
Another wild ride on the caterpillar ride in California Adventure!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Elizabeth! How can you not just LOVE that face!
The next morning it was playing at Grandma's and enjoying the weather and being outside without burning in the heat and of course, non-stop rides on the motorcycle from sun-up to sun-down.
Friday, we headed down to the beach for an overcast day, with rain clouds that were threatening rain a little more inland, and cold water. There was only one other family on the beach, which, my children hooked up with quickly and enjoyed playing with, and a bunch of surfers enjoying the waves. Cole thought it was a little too rough to try the boogie boarding this time and instead, enjoyed several games of smashball on the beach.

To end Lizzie's birthday, Grandma blessed us with an amazing microphone that the children just love! Lizzie couldn't stop singing in it and oft times you can find her singing "Annie" and "Dora." What else would be in a 2-year old's repertoire?
And of course, what would be a trip to Grandma's house without a haircut! Do we have the greatest Grandma or what?
We ended our trip with a morning of shopping, playing in the water at Irvine Spectrum, and eating Golden Spoon! What a way to end the trip and birthday celebration!
Kate wasn't so sure about the water but loved just being in her suit around the water and eating snacks and feeding Luke!
Lizzie loved being in the water but wouldn't get in the water until she was in her suit...What a cutie!
Cole, on the other hand, didn't really care and dove right in and got soaking head to toe. He was sure that he didn't even miss a spot!
Needless to say, they traveled home so well because they were exhausted from a week full of fun! Thanks Grandma & Grandpa, Sarah, Austin & Luke! We miss you already!

You guys sure know how to have fun! Grandma's house is tied in first with Disneyland for my kids! Lizzie is looking so much older all of a sudden. What a doll! Kate and Cole are such good kids too.
